Troop 3945 is our Boys' Troop and Troop 9945 is our Girls' Troop. We are separate Troops but we meet at the same place and time and work together as much as possible. We plan together and learn skills together. Many of our scouts have—or had—a sibling or two in the other troop. It makes life easier for families because there are so few opportunities to have your kids in activities that welcome boys and girls from 11 to 17.
When the Pandemic hit in 2020, and so many people's lives were turned upside down, State health restrictions (and our own good sense) made it impossble for us to continue having our Tuesday meetings at the Morningside VFW.
Even though we haven't been able to have our regular meetings at the VFW, we've still continued to be active Troops. We meet outdoors in various parks and, when necessary, online via Zoom meetings. We regularly hike together and in 2020 we made several camping trips with strict Covid-19 rules in place.
These kids are really dedicated to gathering together—and to getting outside!
We welcome new members all the time and invite you to come visit us at one of our meetings.
